About MKF Architecture
MKF Architecture is a progressive architecture firm that specializes in residential design. We approach every project with the mindset of the past meets the present, honoring the timeless principles of thoughtful, human-centered design while embracing the modern tools and advanced workflows that bring those ideas to life with precision and clarity.
At MKF Architecture, we believe that great design doesn't happen by accident. It is the result of a deliberate and disciplined process, one rooted in traditional values of careful observation, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of how people live within their spaces. From the earliest concept sketches to the final set of drawings, we remain committed to a process that is as intentional as it is innovative.
Our residential projects are shaped by the lives of the people who inhabit them. We take the time to listen, to understand, and to translate our clients' visions into spaces that are not only beautiful, but enduring. By pairing a traditional design philosophy with cutting-edge technology, we are able to explore ideas more fully, communicate them more clearly, and deliver designs that stand the test of time.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief, that where you live matters. And it is our privilege to help you design it.
Mike Fogarty, AIA NCARB
Mike is the founding principal of MKF Architecture, bringing a depth of experience and a genuine passion for design to every project he takes on. His professional background spans healthcare, commercial, and residential work across a wide range of project sizes and complexities, giving him a well rounded perspective that he carries into each new challenge.
Mike holds a Master of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Lafayette College. That foundation in both design and engineering informs the way he thinks about architecture, always balancing creativity with clarity and vision with practicality.
His approach to architecture is timeless by design, but progressive by method. Mike believes that the best outcomes come from a thorough and thoughtful process, one that leverages the latest technologies and workflows to give clients a complete picture of their project from the very beginning. For Mike, architecture is never just about what a space looks like. It is about how it feels, how it functions, and how well it reflects the people who will call it home.
In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with family, playing beach volleyball at the Jersey Shore, listening to great music, and constantly learning anything and everything related to architecture.
